The Shoppes at University Highlands

The Shoppes at University Highlands is a contemporary retail plaza located in the heart of Estero, Florida. South Florida Architecture provided full architectural design services for the retail buildings, creating a cohesive and elegant commercial destination that blends Mediterranean-inspired aesthetics with modern functionality. The design emphasizes symmetry, warm stucco finishes, arched entryways, and tile roofing, hallmarks of the region’s architectural vernacular, while offering flexible tenant spaces suited for restaurants, boutiques, and professional offices.

Careful attention was given to pedestrian accessibility, traffic flow, and site integration along the main roadway, ensuring both high visibility and an inviting streetscape. This project showcases SFA’s ability to balance form, function, and Florida-inspired design for commercial developments.
